Here is my journey of doing the Ludum Dare 53, if you check back I will put up some videos of the event from my desktop so you can follow the  development workflows I used to create this game here, in a couple of days after the compo.

Theme: Delivery

Game Type: 2D SideScroller SHUMP

Game Name: Supply Runners

Breif StoryLine: Your a ex military pilot who has retrained to be a supply runner to the outterim colonies, you retrained with The Intergaltic Delivery Institute Of Transporters Society that allowed you to get a job working for Max at the Allround Rapid Security Enhanced Delivery Service,


Need to Haves: Fire, Move up and down, accelerate and brake, drop delivery container, constant moving background

Extras:

Rockets, drones helpers, ship attachment powerups, minimap radar


Ideas;

A game to avoid traffic while making deliveries, you receive rewards/money per successful delivery and get fined when caught breaking traffic regulations or destroying the customers pizza or being late theirs a lot of potential penalties.

or 

A Postal Type worker game, like a click it to the pigeon box type thing as if your mail sorting machine break down somehow and you need to keep up with the incoming mail.

or

Something bit more radical a Space Delivery Pilot, 2d side scrolling shump that you have to do a drop at the end of the level to complete the delivery and get paid, your game ends when you run out of cash that you use to pay fines and repair your ship if you don't run out of health in a level and have no more lives left also you will end game, enemies can be space pirates and or the outter rim planets indigoes inhabitants and there could be a end boss that defends the delivery drop so you need to deal with him first.
